Core Publisher: How do I create a Small Image Promotional Block for my homepage?

The Small Image Promo Block is effective for promoting news and station-focused events using smaller logos and images. All elements of a Small Image Promo Block can be customized.

To create a Small Image Promo Block:

Note: All fields with a red asterisk (*) are required to save your new block.
  1. Click on the Add block link in the Block Factory box in your Core Publisher admin.
  2. Select Promotional Block from the Choose Block Type list.
  3. Select Small Image Promo from the Choose Treatment list.
  4. Enter the title of your block in the Block Title field. By default, the title will display on the homepage above the block.
  5. Check the Hide Block Title check box if you do not want the title to display on the homepage.
  6. If you want your Block Title to link to another page related to what you are promoting, add the full URL (including http://) to the Make Block Title a link field.
Note: All fields below this are optional.
  1. Click on the Select media option to upload an image for your block.
  2. The Heading text will display larger under the block image. This field has a limit of 80 characters.
  3. The Subheading text will display smaller than the Heading text. HTML can be added to this field as well for any widgets. This field has a 200 character limit.
  4. The Button Text will show up in a button under the Subheading text.
  5. The URL is the link that the button links to. Enter the full URL (plus http://).
  6. Click into the Background and Text fields to customize the colors in your promotional block.
  7. Click on the Save button to save your block, or Save & View to save your block and be taken to a preview of what it will look like.
