Core Publisher: How do I confirm that I have connected the correct Composer 2 program to my Core Publisher Program Page?
How do I confirm that I have connected the correct Composer 2 program to my Core Publisher Program Page?
Core Publisher is integrated with the Composer 2 product for program and playlist content display. In order to get your Composer 2 information to show up on your Core Publisher site you must connect the two systems. Composer 2 playlist information can then appear on your Core Publisher program pages.
When you create a new Program Page in Core Publisher, you are first prompted to import that program’s information from Composer 2 by selecting it from a list.
Not only does this pull over the program name and description, but it also populates the Composer ID field towards the bottom of the Add/Edit Program page.
The ID before the | is the Composer 2 ID for the program that you are creating a Program Page for. Every program on your schedule has its own individual Program ID.
The ID after the | is the Composer 2 ID for your schedule/grid, called the Stream ID. Every schedule in our Composer 2 system has its own individual Stream ID.
The Stream ID and Program ID are also reflected in the URL for each program in Composer 2.
If you want to confirm that you have connected the correct Composer 2 program to the Core Publisher Program Page, confirm that the Composer 2 IDs imported to the Core Publisher Program Page match the IDs in the Composer 2 Program Page URL.
To do so:
- Log into your Composer 2 account and click on the name of the program that you are checking. This will open the Program Details page.
- In a separate tab, open the Core Publisher Edit page for the Program that you are checking.
- Compare the Stream and Program IDs in the Composer Program Details Page URL to the IDs in the Composer ID field on the Core Publisher page.
