Core Publisher: Enabling the Triton Player

There are three options to give your site visitors access to your digital audio stream:
  1. The Listen Live button in the Header
  2. The Triton Persistent Player
  3. The Persistent Player (non-Triton streams)
The Triton Player is very similar to the Persistent Player, in that it allows your site visitors to play your stream in a player that displays on every page of your site that is not interrupted as they navigate to other pages of your site. The Triton Player also works across different devices and screen sizes with a consistent look and feel. The player is gray and displays the name of the stream along with now playing information from your Composer 2 schedule and playlists (where applicable).

The Triton Player is specifically for stations that are using Triton Digital as their streaming provider.

To enable the Triton Player on your site:
  1. Go to the Configure Corepublisher link in your top gray/black admin bar.
  2. Select the Manage Player option in the Other Site Management Links section.
  3. Click on the Triton Player box under Site Player, then click on the Save button.
  4. You will now see settings to customize your Triton Player.
    1. If your station previously contracted with NPR Digital Services for your streaming service, Core Publisher will automatically populate the Stream Name, Stream Key and Stream UCS ID fields for your new Triton streams. If these fields do not automatically populate, contact Triton Support at nprstreaming@tritondigital.com and they can give you your Stream Name and Key. Contact our  Station Relations team for your Stream UCS ID.
    2. If your station did not previously stream with NPR Digital Services, populate the Stream Name and Stream Key fields for your stream. Contact our  Station Relations team for your Stream UCS ID.
  5. If you have multiple streams, click on the Add additional streams link to add a new stream.
  6. If you do not plan to have an underwriting banner in the player, select the None radio button in the Advertising section.
  7. If you plan to have underwriting through either the Triton Ad Platform (TAP) or DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP), select the radio button that corresponds with your choice.
  8. Click on the Save button to save your changes.
