Core Publisher: Creating and Removing the Sitewide Alert

The Sitewide Alert appears on the top of all pages of your site under the Flexi-Menu. Its placement is consistent across different window sizes and displays one line of text with no images.



The admin for the Sitewide Alert is avaiable on the Configure Corepublisher page under Other Site Management Links.

 

To create a Sitewide Alert:

  1. Click on Configure Corepublisher in the top grey and black admin bar.
  2. Select Sitewide Alert from the dashboard.
  3. Enter the text that you want to display in the alert in the Alert text field.
  4. In the URL field, enter the full URL (including http://) to the page that the Alert text will link to.
  5. To open the link in the URL field in a new window, check the Opening link in a new window checkbox.
  6. To change the Alert text color to red, check the This alert is IMPORTANT checkbox.
  7. Hit the Save configuration button to save and publish the alert.

To remove a Sitewide Alert:

  1. Click on Configure Corepublisher in the top grey and black admin bar.
  2. Select Sitewide Alert from the dashboard.
  3. ​Click on the Remove Alert button.
