  2. Navigate to Admin>View>Goals
  3. Click on New Goal on the top left corner
  4. Under Goal Setup, click Custom then continue
  5. Type in a name for your goal
  6. Now you must specify a goal type, which sets up parameters that users must meet to count towards your goal. There are four goal types;
    • Destination: a goal based on amount of traffic to a certain page
    • Duration: a goal based on length of time spent on a page
    • Pages/Screens per session: goal based on how many pages a user browses through in a single session
    • Event: a goal based on event triggers.
Choose one of these goal types and continue on to the next step.
  1. Fill in the parameters for your goal. Once you think your goal is ready, click on verify to see the conversion rate for the past 7 days. If the number is close to zero, your goal might be too exclusive.
  2. Click save
